I have developed a small pilot application built with Apache 2.0, PHP 4.4.1 and MySQL 5.0 on Windows XP. Default settings have been used for the interoperability of the aforementioned tools.

I experience the following discrepancy (while testing the installation in different systems) :

In some test sites (computers), upon request of an image file (GIF type) by the browser (mozilla, explorer, opera), the Apache server seems to be posting back to the browser only part of the requested image (a few scanlines). This behaviour is not dependent on the browser (images from external websites are displayed correctly). It either happens on a test site or not.

Any suggestions ?
