At least thats what Symantec says: Vista Security Still a Problem
Vista Security Still a Problem
At least that's what Symantec says. It calls Vista's antivirus tools too "chatty," among other slights. Symantec, of course, wants to provide add-on security to Vista. I hope they do a better job than McAfee - I've been fighting with the company's security suite for Vista for the past week, and I am not impressed. But I digress. What are Symantec's beefs? What does it think it can do better? ...

I think the concerns mentioned by Symantec in the article apply mostly to the home market and relatively unsophisticated users. On the other hand, I could see just about anyone getting frustrated with repeated warnings about the same condition. I'm not using Vista yet but I suppose Symantec is hoping that even savvy users will hate the new security warnings; they need that in order to get a bigger toehold in the nascent Vista market.
What was it about McAfee on Vista that you didn't like?
