Java and image processing
Hi divxies,
I have started this thread in the best interests of you people and for myself. I'm a beginner as far image processing is concerned. I'm doing a project on the analysis of image compression techniques. But I find that I don't even know how to digitize an image using java's image classes. I'm looking forward to solutions or even suggestions and references in the form of links. Thank u so much guys... Ciao.

Ditto! I posted a question on the just the other day, but no responses yet. I very much want to be able to turn the contents of an Image or stuff that's been drawn to a Graphics into some sort of array my code can examine. I just don't know how.
I want to dabble in stereoscopic image processing using neural networks for depth perception and object identification. Baby steps, though. First thing's first. Hopefully we'll find someone here with some snazzy info (or even pointers to good tutorials/references).
