Sun Certification Test

I just passed the SCJP using Sybex's Complete Java 2 Certification Study Guide (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0782144195/qid=1138223807/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-9029793-5585668?n=507846&s=books&v=glance) as my primary study material.

A couple of notes, however. There are a few significant typos in the text of the book. Then there are even more grotesque typos in the review questions at the end of each chapter. And then there are huge, glaring, nasty mistakes in the example test(s) included on the CD. Always, always hit "show the answer" for each question after you've answered it. Some of them are simply programmed incorrectly and conflict with their own explaination.

Also, keep in mind the actual test is GRUELING. I've memorized 95% of the SCJP section (the SCJD poart starts at chapter 10), and I even went on a rote memorization kick memorizing an ***-load of methods and classnames (like 300+, but perhaps that's overkill) for every class mentioned in chapters 1-9, and still I only got 70% on the actual test.

But...59% is passing, so I don't regret buying and using the book one bit. I recommend it, as long as you keep in mind the typos.
