I am a newbie and say Hello to all.
I think first i should tell you my backgroung before submitting my problem. I am doing my degree in IT and not very good in programming. To complete my degree i have to complete my final year project which is a "Chat Application". I dont know from where should i take a start. Unfortunately i am unable to get any duidance from my seniors. So i am writing the requirements here, if anyone can guide me in this regard i will be very gratefull to him/her.
Requirements:
1. Provision of textual, audio and video chat facility
2. Provision to manage contacts (add new contact, search contact, import export contacts etc.)
3. Provision to build contact lists for group wise textual, audio and video conversation
4. Provision to create new account and manage its profile latterly
5. Provision of sending and receiving file/document to different contacts
6. Managing status of chatting person either he/she is busy, away, available etc. Provision of automatic answering and call forwarding feature
7. Saving/tracking/provision of chatting data in database. The data may be of any form like text, sound, image etc
8. Provision of interface to define different types of application settings such as startup, language, sounds, alerts, security etc.
