How to make a connection with System DNS

I have a VB6 project that I was using a DNS-less connection. Since I can not be sure where the app may go and that there will be a System DNS defined how to I make the connection with the System DNS?

Sorry I meant System DSN as defined in the ODBC Data Source Administrator.
