help for bluetooth application for ipaq
Hi all
i'm a newbie in bluetooth and i want to write a bluetooth application for ipaq using c# and sending data from one ipaq to other ipaq. i know the bluetooth concept but i dont know how to start coding. pls send me any link or sample code that give me some idea. i appreciate ur help in advance.

I believe the best place to start, especially when C# is used, is MSDN. There are plenty of tutorials and code samples that can get you started.

yes in msdn there are lots of sample but ipaq doesnt support Microsoft bluetooth stack. it supports widcomm and widcomm sdk is not free. so i dont know how to access bluetooth stack for ipaq.may be i should use virtual com port but i dont know how i can do inquiry, sniff,... and send data to other bluetooth device in area. and how i can access bluetooth stack.
i really need help this is my course's project .

Hi,
I have the same problem.
With Ipaq and widcomm stack you can use the virtual com port to send a message for example, but with this method you can't do an inquiry.
I have not found a solution to do an inquiry without buying an expensive SDK (Widcomm sdk : 1400$, BTAccess : 700$ I think ...)
Any advice is welcome...

thanks for responce. since developing with ipaq is expensive for me, i want to switch to Nokia. does anyone know a good tutorial, links, sample code that can help me?
