how to upload a j2me application in reliance mobile
hi,
i'm developing a j2me application and want to upload tht application in Reliance mobile.Is it possible to directly upload my application in tht mobile coz i'm using sun's WTK2.3 n MIDP2.0 and API's

I'm not an expert on Reliance, but my advice is to check the manufacturer's Web site and look for the white papers/documentation about yoru specific model since each model may work differently.

Hi Laxmi, no you cannot upload an application to reliance handsets. This is because Reliance's platform is closed to the outside world so you cannot do WAP download, or serial cable transfer. The only way is to talk to Reliance people and ask them to put it in themselves. Also, MIDP 2.0 is not supported on Reliance devices.

Danny are you a J2ME and bluetooth expert? I need knowledge on the compatibility of J2ME application across major cellular makers devices. Also can all cellular devices run J2ME applications? And where can I find sample programs/code for J2ME applications that can conduct exchanges between bluetooth devices? Help!

I'm not a J2ME expert, my expretise is in C++ mostly.
As for the rest of the questions:
not all cellular devices support J2ME. To make this happen you'd have to force every cellular manufacturer to burn J2ME VM and APIs into the firmaware. This is certainly not going to happen for many good reasons. Notice also that different versions of J2ME support different APIs and -- hardware. So you need to check each brand and model specifically.
The best place for finding J2ME examples is Sun's Mobile portals.

Hi Best way to get the samples is to download j2me toolkit from sun's site. You will get enough samples with the kit.

Inorder to install your application in reliance handset,you have to buy MOBIMB software.
Using that software,you can install your application in reliance handsets.
