3D Graphic Help

Right, I want to learn java. Now, I found a snippet of coding that successfully makes a cube that you can rotate around. I've made it and all, but I want to understand every aspect of the coding itself, so that I may manipulate it to my liking. If someone could just point out what each thing does, that'd be great.
