Austin, TX - Technical Project Manager

Work with a leading online communications firms to provide online solutions for non-profits. Members of the Technical Services staff are responsible for executing all aspects of a project or campaign. On larger projects, staff members work as part of a team and are supervised by the Technical Project Manager. On smaller projects and tasks, staff members are expected to work independently, seeking support from others when needed. Staff members are expected to perform tasks using a wide range of technologies, such as PHP, ColdFusion, or Perl, with the expectation that he or she will learn more advanced capabilities.

Project Managers are responsible for assisting Client Services with the management of large client projects. A large client project is defined as any project staffed with 3 or more Software Engineers full time for more than 10 business days.

Responsibilities include the following specific activities:
Generating the technical schedule and coordinating delivery of work with Client Services and Design teams
Providing technical status updates to Client Services
Monitoring the progress of technical work completed
Monitoring the number of hours estimated vs. actual
Notifying the Vice President of Technical Services of issues affecting the direction and progress of the project

Other Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related major required;
3+ years of experience developing and managing database driven projects;
Experience estimating level of effort for technical work;
Candidate must be familiar with all phases of the software development lifecycle;
Manage requirements, design, schedule, and project documentation;

Compensation includes competitive base plus guaranteed bonus potential. Each person gets 10 days vacation and 10 personal days.
