Visual Studio 2003

I am using Microsoft Visual Studio 2003( registered). While using visual basic if I try to compile a form without any control it runs, but when I add any control e.g textbox, label or button etc, I found the following error.

An unhandled exception of type 'System.ArithmeticException' occurred in system.drawing.dll

Additional information: Overflow or underflow in the arithmetic operation.

I have tried to reinstall dotnet framework but the problem exist. I have reinstall visual studio but after some days same problem occurs.

My environment is :
OS-Windows XP including service pack2
Office XP
MS SQL Server2000
;system is Pentium -4 (2.8GHz) with 512MB Ram

Kindly reply to me with the specific solution as early as possible because I have to complete some projects.

so how do you FIX it... i can see a sort of "patch" that you'd have to do to what seems to be every application you build... I'm just starting with vb.net, and am only a hobbyist programmer anyhow, and this is peeving me.. any help appreciated :)
