A+ Cert... how useless is this?
I KNOW I saw something on careers with an A+ Cert somewhere, complete with
salary ranges and such, I just don't remember where I saw it. I was just
wondering if it was taken down and the cert is now useless. Please send
a response to mcupples@qwest.net. Thanks.

A+ is good if you want to fix computer hardware. Otherwise, not very useful.

As a certification on its own, the A+ is not worth much more than 3rd Grade,
you know some Reading, wRiting and 'Rithmatic.
It's a good place to start if you know nothing about computers and want to
get started in a networking or sys admin direction.
Follow it up with a N+ and iNet+ (also CompTIA certs), and then either MCSD,
CNE or CCNA.
