suggestions needed

I need some suggestion from your guys on which university I should choose
to obtain a MS in Computer Science, Univ of Chicago or Univ. of Illinois
- urbana Champaign.

I had a MS in Chemistry in 1996. I swithched career from a research chemist
to an analyst/programmer about a 1 year ago. I have been working with a company
in Chicago since then.

I always want to get a MS in CS from a univ with high reputation. I got accepted
to both of UC and UIUC. Money is not an issue since my company is going to
pay for everything. I will be a part-time student.

I guess I want to know how IT industry view them. Many of you are experienced
IT professionals. Thanks in advance for your input.

I don't know either one of the schools that you mentioned. However, to find
out how good a school is, you can ask them for the achievement records (or
something like that) of their alumni. Most schools keep such statistics and
it is a pretty good indication. Also ask about their faculties. Have they
been out in the private sector? It is very important that they are "in
touch" with the real world.

Hope this helps.

U of C has the most nobel prize winners of any school. Depends on what you
are wanting to do with your career. In my opinion, if you are good then it
really doesn't matter where your degree is from. Can't believe a company
would foot the bill to go to U of C though. Must be nice.
