I'm about to (finally) upgrade to version 1.1 of the .net framework and possibly
VS 2003 shortly after.

Are these independent decisions? i.e., must I either do both or none?

Also, should I uninstall version 1.0 of the framework first, or is this necessary?

Any tips or gotchas that anyone's encountered would be greatly appreciated.
