Future of VC++ developers

Hi,

I am a ATL/COM developer and I want to Know what will be the future of VC++
development with respect to web.I have seen VB is the first choice when it
comes to web development like components for MTS and database access.

I won't to Know are Organisations considering VC++ for web development. With
Competitions like Java and VB where do VC++ stands in context of Web development.

I know you can develop all kinds of Components using ATL and it is very easy
tool for com development. But are organisations considering it when it comes
to real implementations for WEB.

Pls do reply

I think that C# is really the way that most C++'ers will want to go if they
want to build Web applications.

Microsoft is moving toward C# for Web development over VC++.

Just curious, what exactly are the indications that MS is cutting back
activity in ATL/ISAPI filters/ISAPI extensions?

I know there is a push towards C#, but OTOH there is certainly ample support
for ATL/C++ in dot-net. The last MSDN mag had good articles about the .NET
version extensions for building ISAPI filters and extensions.

With the sharp swing back to the server these days, the server needs to be
efficient. Is C# with unmanaged code completely up to the job, is that the
opinion of the MS web management group?

thanks
Richard.
