Frustrating differance between wap phones and emulatores.
i am currently developing an application useing the nokia browser. however
my phone is a trium. the clients phone is a nokia 7110 all works fine on my
phone formatting tables etc... but on the emulator all hyperlinks are wraped
ie
HL1
HL2
Client Code
i would like
HL1 HL2 Client Code
And tables won't load the formatting is completely different between the
emulators and the phones?
Deckit Loads the hyperlinks on one line but wraps the tables.
Nokia does not. And will not load with tables
The blueprint wap 1.2 phone in the nokia kit is the only phone that displays
like mine hyperlinks and tables.
Question on the nokia phone how can i avoide the wrapping and keep 2
hyperlinks on one line?
Question why are there so many differances?
Question how can i tell what emulator is accurate?
Question Why do tables work on my Trium and not the Nokia? (Isn't nokia the
leader in this stuff ?)
I relly want to develope the wap part of our system but am beginning to feel
perplexed. Is this like the Netscape, Explorer differences in web
developement? When are these guys gonna wake up and decide on a standard to
make it easier for developement.
Adding a wap addon to our system is ideal for wap and fits perfectly. Do we
have to demand our clients to buy a specific type of phone. I know i won't.
Anyway would much appriciate a response at leaset as to how do i keep the
hyperlinks on one line in the Nokia 7110 emulator.
Thanks all (sorry for venting :-)
Jason
